MAKING CONTENT COMPREHENSIBLE

Learning in all subjects is dependent upon language whereas language cannot be effectively learnt without a context. Thus, language and content of any kind are closely interrelated. 

This course is to facilitate high quality instruction for English Learners in content area teaching.

This is a framework for organizing new teaching and learning methods and techniques, and for ensuring effective practices.

The methodology will incorporate different elements that make it flexible and adaptable to the interests, needs and expectations of the participants. 

Content classes in English contribute not only to the teaching of the language and the subject content, but also to the promotion of other competences such as collaborative work, critical thinking, learning to learn skills and so on.
